Precision Xtra blood glucose strips are for use with the Precision Xtra monitor. The test strips are designed to quantitatively measure glucose (sugar) in fresh capillary whole blood from the fingertip, forearm, upper arm, or base of the thumb. The test strips are for use outside the body (in vitro diagnostic use) and are for self-testing or healthcare professional use. When the blood sample is applied to the test strip, the glucose in the blood reacts with the chemicals on the test strip, producing a small electrical current. The current us measured and a result is then displayed by the monitor.
